The Shock of Another Anniversary

“I’ve been thinking about what it is to be a resurrected being. I’ve been thinking about Jesus.

For Jesus, resurrection didn’t mean the pain hadn’t happened or that the scars weren’t there.

Resurrection didn’t mean that he forgot the denials, the abandonment, the fear, the anxiety or the heartbreak.

Those things had happened but resurrection meant completely new life. Not just for Jesus, but for those around Him too.

So what is it like to live in a resurrected marriage?

I’ve been thinking about this recently and it seemed to fit when Ashley Hales asked me to consider writing something for her blog Circling the Story on the theme of resurrection.
